Already got an electronic mailbox for your securities account? Then you’ll be able to view, download and delete all of your MiFID-related documents online.
If you would like to be able to use all of the electronic mailbox features for your accounts and securely communicate with your Sparkasse by email, you can upgrade the mailbox for your securities account at any time.
If you log into your electronic mailbox online or through online banking, you will be able to use the following features.
You will be able to view your messages, statements and bills in your inbox. Messages will be shown in a way that reflects their status and type. Unread messages will be shown in bold. Urgent messages will be shown in red and standard messages in blue.
Disappearing messages are shown with the add-on “Ad”. These messages will be automatically removed from your mailbox after a set period of time.
In line with legal regulations, messages that contain protected documents are marked with a lock icon.
Clicking on the document will open the document and allow you to save the attached documents. Protected documents can only be opened using an authentication procedure. This authentication only applies to protected files accessed during the current session.
You can use the search bar to search the subject lines of your messages for specific key words. The filter function can be used to filter your inbox messages by, amongst others, category, date received and a number of other criteria.
To send a secure message from your mailbox, click on “Compose”. You can also attach up to five files in any of the common formats and totalling 8Mb to your message. Your Sparkasse will save any files you send as PDF documents, treat them as confidential and only use them for the purpose of providing advice.
You can also delete messages by highlighting them and then clicking on the delete button. Deleted messages will be kept in the recycle bin for 30 after the deletion date. During that period, it will be possible to both recover and permanently discard these messages. If deleted, disappearing messages will be permanently removed from your mailbox and will not be kept in the bin.
Under settings, you can add accounts and contracts to your electronic mailbox and define automatic deletion rules for any messages you do not wish to keep.
You can use the Message Alert Service to be notified by email of any new messages in your inbox. Not yet using our Message Alert Service or are not receiving alerts at your current email address? To manage the Message Alert Service, go to Personal details – Address & contact details – Email and change the relevant information.
